"Orange is the New Black" director Andrew McCarthy recently opened up about his involvement in the series and his favorite episode so far. He also dished on what fans can expect from the upcoming season.
During a recent interview with Deadline, McCarthy said that "Orange is the New Black" has instantly become his biggest achievement to date because the series has helped him become a good director.
McCarthy also talked about the Netflix show and said that the series is interesting because it features a blend of drama and comedy that easily captures the interest of audiences.
Meanwhile, the director also talked about his most favorite episode from the series and said that it was the one that involved Gloria back in season 2, according to Inquisitr.
The particular episode featured Gloria in a flashback and McCarthy said he loved it because it somewhat gave him an idea of who Gloria is as a character and who Selenis Leyva is as a star. He added that the episode entitled "Low Self-Esteem City" also tackled one of the biggest issues among the inmates at Litchfield prison.
In other news, "Orange is the New Black" is set to premiere its fourth season on Netflix next year. Ahead of its release, cast members, directors and writers are suggesting that the upcoming installment will become much darker compared to season 3.
With this, fans cannot wait to see how "OITNB" will revert back to its old format. The series will reportedly introduce some new guest stars in the ucoming fourth season.
