With Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" hitting the big screen next year, "Moonrise Kingdom" actress Tilda Swinton said that the upcoming film will be much different from other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it deals with the world of magic.
Swinton is playing the role of The Ancient One in Derrickson's "Doctor Strange." In her interview with Screen Crush, the actress said she is a Marvel fan and Derrickson's upcoming film is becoming more thrilling. As an actor and a fan, she also mentioned that she is enthusiastic in seeing the creative ideas integrated in the film. She described it as something "different."
As per Cinema Blend, fans will see realms like the Astral Plane, seeing The Ancient One travel around the secret world of magic. Another point that may be different from other films in Marvel's Universe are the battles, which may involve the laws of physics. This is something unique as compared to fist to fist physical combats in the battle arena.
Just like Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man," Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is assumed to be have a enthralling story that lighter in tone, while it provides a more mind-expanding cinematic experience for the fans.
Along with Swinton, "Doctor Strange" also stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular superhero and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. Rachel McAdams has also been reported to play the role of Clea, who is the niece of Dormammu. Dormammu is the Lord of the Dark Realm and is Doctor Strange's utmost enemy.
Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is slated to premiere on Nov. 4, 2016.
