Donald Trump has taken to Facebook to slam John McCain, who he endorsed as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2008. The Republican presidential candidate criticized the Arizona senator over his failure to do something to meet the needs of the Veterans.
On July 18, Trump wrote in his Facebook account, "I am not a fan of John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what the Veterans need, especially in regards to the VA."
Trump accused McCain of letting the United States military substantially diminish in size and strength, which he said should never be allowed to happen. He described the senator as "yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job and helping the Vets."
In addition, Trump was not happy about McCain calling thousands of people who recently came to listen to him speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix "crazies." Many of them happen to be McCains's constituents, according to Trump.
McCain was not pleased when Trump held a rally in Phoenix, Arizona, particularly because the real estate mogul said he is not really a war hero although he is considered a war hero only because he was captured, The New York Times reported.
In an interview with The New Yorker, McCain said, "This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me because what he did was he fired up the crazies."
For Trump, the senator was "extremely disrespectful" to those people, who for him were not "crazies" but were great American citizens. On the other hand, "The Celebrity Apprentice" host claimed that he has great respect for all those who serve in the military, which include those that were not captured and are also heroes.
"I want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN especially for those that serve to protect our freedom. I am fighting for our Veterans!" Trump concluded his Facebook rant against McCain.
