Around 10,000 young girls who want to follow Emma Watson's footsteps have queued for the role of Modesty role in the "Harry Potter" spinoff titled "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them."
On July 18, the young hopefuls aged between eight and 12 went to the Excel Centre in London for the "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" casting call. The hopefuls started arriving from 4am and those who were not fortunate enough to land the role were rewarded with a certificate to prove they took part in the casting process, according to Mirror.
The actress who will be selected will play the character of Modesty described as a "haunted young girl with an inner strength and stillness." She will star in the upcoming "Harry Potter" spinoff opposite Eddie Redmayne, who recently won an Oscar award for his "The Theory Of Everything" portrayal of Stephen Hawkings.
Redmayne has already signed on to play the lead in "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" as the magizoologist named Newt Scamander.
To be directed by David Yates and written by Rowling, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" will also star Alison Sudol as Queenie, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Katherine Waterston as Porpentina and Ezra Miller as Kredan.
In 2001, J.K. Rowling wrote "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" and in 2013, Warner Brothers announced the book would have a film adaptation, which begins 70 years before Harry Potter's story starts and is set in New York.
Meanwhile, Watson was recently spotted in London wearing a casual outfit while running errands, Daily Mail reported. She is currently filming the 2017 film "Beauty And The Beast,' in which she is playing Belle.
