Jon Snow may still be alive and will appear in "Game Of Thrones" season 6, based on Carice van Houten's statement during the London Film and Comic con.
"No, he can't be dead. No!" van Houten said of the character played by Kit Harington who appeared to be killed off in the finale episode of "Game Of Thrones" season 5.
Playing villainous red priestess Melisandre in "Game Of Thrones," van Houten was asked about the popular fan theory that her character's magic powers will bring back Jon Snow from the dead as red priest Thoros of Myr was seen resurrecting dead people in "Game Of Thrones" season 2.
"I've seen that on the internet, like I've seen stuff saying 'we'll forgive you if you save him,'" The Sun quoted van Houten as saying. She also revealed that she received death threats on Twitter after Melisandre's actions in "Game Of Thrones" season 5, which included telling Stannis Baratheon to burn his daughter alive.
"I've never had so many death wishes in my life. It was so interesting to experience that," van Houten said. "I mean, I knew it was coming. I thought, I'm not gonna get any more sympathy after this!"
Meanwhile, Harington was recently spotted in Belfast, where "Game Of Thrones" season 6 is currently filming, Hollywood Take has learned. This made fans of the hit HBO series belief that Jon Snow is still alive.
However, Harington was also spotted in Belfast in June to film a different project. He is currently filming the 2016 film "Brimstone" opposite van Houten and "Effie Gray" star Dakota Fanning.
