Microsoft has plans to make its digital help Cortana culturally diverse as the company intends to slot the app into different nations during the release of Windows 10.
Cortana will initially take off in Windows 10 within the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, and China, Tech Crunch reported. The next regions to launch Cortana in this year include Australia, Japan, Canada, India, Mexico, and Brazil.
Although it wants Cortana to expand into new markets, Microsoft apparently has greater plans to make the app local so that it can surpass its initial function of helping Cortana to fit into the Chinese market, Techno Stream reported.
About one year ago, the company unveiled Cortana on Windows Phones in new markets including China. There were many features endorsed to suit the needs of China.
The moment Cortana was a feature that was meant for Windows Phones, and not a central app of the future of Windows, it appeared almost misplaced that the firm was ready to invest a lot into a new market, which is China, where one could easily count its market share.
Currently, in the case of the app featuring in every PC and every Windows 10 upgrade, the move to invest largely in the platform is rational. On the other hand, Microsoft Corporation is doing the contrary of walking away from its intention on Cortana. Windows 10 launch is just next week on July 29, which will incorporate Cortana for the launch carried out within the U.S.
