The Golden State Warriors are at it again after winning the NBA Championship and their best player Stephen Curry winning the NBA Most Valuable Player award last season. In the recently concluded National Basketball Player Association Awards, the Warriors' home court Oracle Arena was awarded as the fanbase and arena that gives the best home court advantage to a team. Curry also won the award for being the Best Clutch Player.
The Oracle Arena in Oakland, California is often regarded as one of the hardest arenas to play in, alongside FedEx Forum in Memphis known as the Grindhouse, which is home to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Warriors fans are known to be the league's loudest supporters, gaining the nickname for their home court Roaracle. NBA legend Charles Barkley famously told the Dubs fans to "shut up." It was during the American Century Championships where the TNT analyst was hounded by Warriors fans criticizing him for holding the opinion then that the Warriors are not capable of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy due to its style of play.
"The only thing that's been annoying is all these Golden State Warriors fans who want to talk so much now, talk about jump shooting teams," Barkley told Steve Sands in an NBC interview.
Barkley took a turn when he finally said something good about the Oakland team. "You know they had a great year with Steph [Curry] and Klay [Thompson], a great year," he said. "But they don't have to keep saying it over and over again. It's annoying."
