While fans are still wishing that Kit Harington would reprise his role as Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones" season 6, an Irish actor named Eddie Jackson, who bears a striking resemblance to Psy's "Hangover" collaborator Snoop Dogg, is said to be joining the cast of the HBO hit series.
On July 20, Monday, Harington was spotted in Belfast with Tom Wlaschiha, who is set to reprise his role as Jaqen H'ghar in "Game of Thrones" season 6, Watchers on the Wall has learned. This made fans speculate that Jon Snow will return after being killed in the finale of "Game of Thrones" season 5.
On the same day, a news broke claiming that Jackson, who is from Dublin, has been cast in "Game of Thrones" season 5. Neither the role he is supposed to play nor his being cast in the HBO series has been officially confirmed.
According to his Star Now profile, Jackson started Floor Unit Productions with fellow actor Mark McCabe after a few years of acting for screen and stage. The two wrote and produced a short film that won Best Comedy and earned Jackson Best Actor nomination at the Underground Cinema Awards.
Jackson played a monk in "Vikings" season 1 episode 2 titled "Wrath of the Northmen," which aired on March 10, 2013. He then played a gym receptionist in the 2014 comedy drama "Gold," which was directed by Niall Heery.
"Gold" starred "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" actor James Nesbitt opposite "Lewis and Clark" actor David Wilmot and "Doctor Who" actress Maisie Williams, who is set to reprise her role as Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones" season 6.
