In the wake of the tragic death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, her lover and rumored husband Nick Gordon, who is also now the prime suspect of homicide, has continued to remain mum. Instead, his mother Michelle Gordon has released a statement on his behalf to pay tributes to the only child of the late legendary singer Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown.
"Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart," said the 25-year-old's mother in a public statement obtained by Us Weekly adding that Gordon family is in the state of mourning.
Nick, who was reportedly adopted by the late singer as a teenager, used to live with Bobbi Kristina following her mother's death in 2012 and the pair grew closer with time. In fact, the celebrity child even referred to him as her "hubby" in social media, though, Brown family later claimed that the two were not legally married.
The celebrity child was found drowned in the bathtub on Jan. 31. Although she was taken immediately to the hospital, she could not be revived and continued to deteriorate. After battling for her life for almost six months, she breathed her last on July 26, Sunday, surrounded by her family members.
Earlier this month, Nick was served with a $10 million lawsuit by the Bobbi Kristina's conservator, who accused him of physical abuse and money laundering.
Meanwhile, the devastated father of the 22-year-old has also has broken his silence over the tragic loss. He said in a statement released to People through his lawyer that he is "completely numb at this time" and his loss is "unimaginable."
