The WWE just got real. On Monday, John Cena suffered a gruesome injury after receiving a knee to the face. The Champ broke his nose during fight but like a true champion, Cena continued to fight through the injury.
Monday Night Raw proved that World Wrestling Entertainment is no entertainment at all. During a title match between WWE United States Champion John Cena and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, wherein the Hustler, Loyalty, Respect fighter defended his title, things got bloody. Rollins threw a knee at Cena's face which broke the nose of the fighter.
WWE.com confirmed the injury which the WWE physician called a "nasal fraction".
"As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction," Dr. Steve Daquino confirmed.
"He's got quite a bit of displacement, so we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who's on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it."
Photos of the injury circulated online showing how the knee caused serious injuries to Cena. A slo-mo clip of the incident was also released by WWE.

With a broken nose, Bleacher Reports suspects that the fighter will be wearing a face mask in the coming weeks and will refrain from defending his US Championship title until SummerSlam 2015. The site also noted that depending on the severity of the injury, Cena is still expected to participate in the build up towards the WWE SummerSlam 2015.
