The latest "Castle" season 8 spoilers revealed that Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) may face several challenges in their marriage in the coming episodes. A new cast member named Hayley will reportedly drive a wedge between the couple's relationship.
In an interview with Deadline, Katic shared that they have already started filming season 8. Apart from playing the female lead opposite Fillion, Katic also signed up to become a producer in the popular ABC series. The actress promised that there will be a lot of tension and drama in the coming episodes which fans should not dare miss.
Katic mentioned that show runners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter are both determined to shake things up between Castle and Beckett. She revealed that she had been concerned about how the story will progress in the coming episodes, following "Castle" creator Andrew Marlowe's exit.
She shared that Hawley and Winter assured her that they will not compromise her character's integrity for the sake of ratings. Katic said that she began to feel safe and confident after they discussed what will happen in the coming episodes.
Meanwhile, speaking to TV Line, Fillion assured "Castle" fans that they have nothing to worry about in the coming episodes. He added that in order for a show to move forward, changes are inevitable.
The actor hinted that Castle and Beckett's relationship may be off to a rocky start but the couple will definitely find a way to make it work. Fillion added that he has complete faith in the writers' vision for season 8.
