Country singer Blake Shelton is taking his divorce in stride and was in a humorous mood during his first televised interview as single man.
The country star 39, seemed to be coping well during an interview with ET Online the first since his split from wife Miranda Lambert was announced on Monday last week .
The singer sipped from a red plastic cup, which he told host Sophie Shellaci that it contained vodka, while admitting to a rough week during his chat.
When the host asked the "Sangria" singer how he was doing he wryly replied that he had got divorced, with footage clearly indicating the missing wedding ring from his hand.
The interview kicked off with fellow country singer Brad Paisley sitting beside Blake, as the duo promoted the upcoming season of "The Voice."
For the ninth season Brad Paisley will be joining "The Voice" team as mentor to members of team Blake. A year ago Paisley had a two month stint on "Rising Star" a similar show which aired on ABC and had Kesha and Ludacris serving as judges.
The newest season of "The Voice" is set to kick off on September 21 and while NBC has still to announce officially the show's guest mentors according to RollingStone Paisley will be joined by Selena Gomez - mentor to Gwen Stefani's team, Missy Elliot who will be mentor to team Pharrell and John Fogerty who will be the mentor for team Adam.
