Reigning champions Chelsea FC will open their title defense in the 2015-2016 Premier League season with a match against tough Swansea City AFC at their home stadium of Stamford Bridge on August 8.
The match on Saturday would prove to be a perfect test for José Mourinho's boys on their quest for a second straight English title.
Chelsea's most recent game was a friendly 0-1 loss to Italian club ACF Fiorentina on Wednesday at Stamford as part of the International Champions Cup preseason tournament.
It was noticeable, though, that Mourinho preserved his primary players for their Premier League opener against the Swans as they were pushed to the limit during their FA Community Shield defeat in the hands of rival Arsenal FC, 0-1, as per BBC Sport.
The Blues actually had a rough preseason with only one regulation time win in five friendly games. They won their ICC matches against Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, but only through penalty shootouts.
Meanwhile, Swansea did not have enough preparations in the preseason with only a single friendly match since their final game against Crystal Palace last season.
They managed to settle for a draw against German club Borussia Mönchengladbach last July 15, via SkySports, but that was it.
Prediction: A 3-0 win for the defending champs. Playing at home and entering the season with a few new acquisitions to further strengthen their lineup, Mourinho is expecting nothing less from his squad.
Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Courtois; Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic; Matic, Ramires; Hazard, Oscar, Willian; Falcao
Swansea starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Fabianski; Richards, Bartley, Fernandez, Naughton; Britton, Cork; Montero, Emnes, Dyer; Gomis
