Sony has announced launch dates for a variety of upcoming movies in 2016 and 2017.
The announcement beefs up expectations from viewers and lovers of movies now that they have a glimpse of the exact dates of release. At the top of the roster is "Money Monster" that will be released on April 8, 2016, starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney, The Hollywood Reporter Unveiled.
Other movies to be released in 2016 include: "The Shallows" on June 24; Paul Feig's reboot of "Ghostbusters" release on July 15; "Patient Zero on Sept. 2 and a remake of the "Magnificent Seven" will be released on Sept. 23.
Since killing vampires is very difficult, a fifth "Underworld" film will be released on Oct. 21, 2016. After that, there will be no new releases until Dec. 21 when the science fiction, "Passengers" with Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt will come out. To close up the 2016 movie release lineup will be a reboot of "Jumanji" on Dec. 25.
According to AV Club, 2017 will be more exciting with "Dark Tower" taking the center stage to come out on Jan. 13. Since Zombies are also hard to eliminate, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will emerge on Jan. 27 before the release of the much-expected "Bad Boys 3", which will come out on Feb. 17.
Edgar Wright's "Baby Driver" will be launched on March 17. Other movies to be released in 2017 include "Barbie" that will emerge on June 2, "Uncharted" that is a video game adaptation will be released on June 30, and "The Lamb" comes out on Dec. 8.
