As Windows 10 is already rolled out to several users, more issues are being sighted in Microsoft's latest update such as Cortana's hit-or-miss functionality or the inability of Mozilla Firefox to function with the Windows 10m, which should be worked out in the coming weeks.
However, one of the major bugs found so far would render some PCs and laptops to malfunction, Siliconbeat reported. After upgrading to the Windows 10, users are reportedly receiving an error that informs them of a missing operating system.
One case cited by the source ended up needing to have his computer for recovery of programs and data, with no assurance of yet that it will be fixed. But worse is that, after the upgrade was executed, it appears that it can also affect those who have synched accounts via the OneDrive.
Microsoft has not released a statement on the event, but did mention that there these issues are usually from incompatible apps or devices. So far, the only common denominator in the cases is that these mostly happened to users of Asus devices or those with flash and SSD drives.
Meanwhile, the Windows 10 was also rolled out for the Xbox One. Currently, it is still limited to Xbox One users who are part of the Xbox One preview program.
Those who have already tried to stream games from the Xbox One to the Windows 10 may have experienced the screen freezing issue. What happens is that whenever a game stream starts, the user will need to turn it into a windowed screen instead of a full screen, Gamezone reported.
When the stream starts with a full screen, the picture will freeze. The stream will only run normally once again after the screen has been windowed. Microsoft has not yet announced or confirmed this particular bug or a fix for it.
Still, apart from the freezing issue, it appears that streaming games on the Xbox One is a good experience all throughout. The Xbox One preview program is meant to find bugs, since the official release of the game streaming feature for the public is still set for November. There is still time to spot bugs and find appropriate fixes, so that the majority of Xbox One users can easily stream games onto their Windows 10 PCs.
Already, Microsoft has issued its first major update for the Windows 10. The update is a good 325 MB and reportedly brings enhanced functionality and improvements in features.
