A new track by Bobby Shmurda - "3 Shots" - was released on Aug. 4, which was Brooklyn rapper's 21st birthday. The track features Rowdy Rebel and Chinx.
Shmurda spent his birthday behind bars because he and Rowdy Rebel, GS9 associate, were locked up for crimes involving weapons, drugs, and conspiracy to commit murder, Bet reported. However, Shmurda's GS9 tag name has premiered "3 Shots" featuring Rowdy, and rapper Chinx, who was murdered a few months ago.
Amid their incarceration, Shmurda and Rowdy managed to release music at a considerably consistent video in 2015, implying that they must have taken some time in the studio before their arrest, Hot New Hip Hop said.
The new track is a fantastic banger that sustains a low-tone looming sound until the interruption by gunshots and an alarm that rings out through the hook. It is a bit ominous and unfortunate to hear three people whose lives have been marred by gun violence venerate it in the song, but undoubtedly, they speak with authority on the theme.
The song is exceptional to listen to, but the listener cannot avoid wondering where Shmurda's music career would be if he were not in jail. Last month, "Hot N*gga" took the center stage of the music buzzing new rap superstars (Shmurda even had his personal dance; it does not go beyond that).
Shmurda (Ackquille Pollard) has been in prison since Dec. 2014. Most recent charges involved a new illegal imports and weapons for reportedly having his girlfriend sneak a dagger to him. However, Shmurda pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
Some lyrics from "3 Shots" include:
Whoever holding on that money better bring the bread out
Every time we in the building boy we bring the feds out
We aain't aiming for your legs, boy we want that headshot
Like, Bow!
