Tech giant Apple is reportedly taking a market shift with its upcoming MacBook Air 2016 i8s, which has been speculated to be released earlier than expected.

The new MacBook Air that was initially supposed to hit the market by March 2016 is likely to be released in November this year, Geek Snack reported. The early launch follows a new strategy for most companies to release gadgets early enough as a way of getting ahead of competition.

With the unexpected launch of the Moto G, Moto X Style, and Moto X Play, Apple perceives an early launch of the 2016 MacBook Air feasible. Motorola and Apple have been constantly pitted alongside each other as major players in the tech industry.

It seems like the production of MacBook Air 2016 i8s has been hastened to be launched just in time for the December 2015 Holidays. However, there is a negative connotation of this early release given the launch of MacBook Air 2015 was not received well because of repetitive features and little or no changes to a considerably expensive device.

The $100 cheaper introductory price tag to have the MacBook Air 2016 sell at $899 is apparently the lowest priced laptop in Apple History, Christian Today noted.

A look at the device's specs reveals that the Cupertino-based firm included the Intel Core-M-based Skylake processor, which is the latest chipset on the market. The 2016 MacBook Air will also be shipped in two sizes - 13-inch and 15-inch platforms - both sporting a thinner and lighter exterior than the precursor laptop.

The upcoming device will also have a retina screen display that gives users an advanced viewing experience through an angle of 178 degrees with more vibrant colors. It is rumored that the 2016 MacBook Air will run on Windows 10.

The device will have a 4GB RAM, 128GB/256GB SSD storage capacity, and its premium variant running on 8GB RAM and 512GB of storage space.
