With J.J. Abrams' forthcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" coming in theaters this year, Lucasfilm has released a new international trailer and it shows an obscure touch of the film.
Running in 30 seconds, the clip starts off with a substantial army of Stormtroopers with their leaders in front of them, suggesting a plot to a dynamic battle for an epic film. Succeeding sequences featured Captain Phasma in a sturdy-looking silver armor, fight scenes, space crafts, and explosions, which justify the dark side of the force that will rouse.
While Disney CEO Bob Iger expresses his doubt on the performance of the franchise's upcoming film in the box office, there is still a possibility that Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" can also unleash a massive success just like what Colin Trevorrow's did in June, as per Cinema Blend.
"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set 30 years following the events in the "Return of Jedi." The film showcases a blend of both old and new heroes and baddies. It stars Simon Pegg, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford, among others.
With Abrams set to helm the film, George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan are on board to pen the screenplay of the film.
Meanwhile, a Han Solo spin-off film is also part of the lineup of the bullet films of the "Star Wars" franchise, according to The Wrap. Christopher Miller and Phil Lord are set to helm the film while Lawrence Kasden and Jon Kasden are on board to pen the screenplay.
Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 18. Watch the film's new international clip here:
