The 33-year-old step-granddaughter of actor Morgan Freeman died on Sunday after she was attacked in front of her New York City apartment.

Although the police took a 30-year-old man into custody, no charges were filed yet. An investigation into the death of Hines, who studied acting at the New York University, is still ongoing. Washington Post reports that the man was allegedly Hines's boyfriend. He was standing over her body and shouting out Bible verses. He is in Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and going through psychological evaluation.

A witness, 65-year-old George Hudacko, said that the suspect was shouting, "Get out devils. I cast you out Devils in the name of Jesus Christ.

Some reports, such as the one below, claims Hines' death was part of an alleged Illuminati blood sacrifice.

Freeman, in a statement, said, "The world will never knew her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer." He added, "Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers."

Hines returned recently to New York after filming "Landing Up," an independent film shot in Brooklyn. She had appeared in 2014 in Freeman's '5 Flights Up" where her role was that of a receptionist, and also smaller roles on TV.
