Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder won the Liplock Award for “The Vampire Diaries” at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. The two may have broken up several years ago but their onscreen chemistry is still as hot as ever. It has been a tradition for winners to share a kiss onstage after the acceptance speech but Dobrev and Somerhalder decided to bow this one out.
According to Movie Pilot, it would be weird for Somerhalder to kiss Dobrev in front of his wife Nikki Reed, especially given their history as a couple. After they graciously accepted the award, the former couple went back to their seats without even showing a bit of affection to each other to the disappointment of fans.
Several reports claimed that the "Twilight" actress is still jealous of Dobrev. Earlier, it has been rumored that she asked her husband to unfollow his former co-star on Twitter. She allegedly asked him to cut all of his ties with her.
When rumors of Austin Stowell and Dobrev dating started circulating online, Reed was allegedly green with envy of the couple. According to Franchise Herald, Reed was not happy that Dobrev is taking the spotlight again from her and Somerhalder. The actress was allegedly disappointed that fans of "The Vampire Diaries" have shown interest in Dobrev's love life.
The publication reported that Reed could not believe that Dobrev has moved on from her relationship with Somerhalder. The actress allegedly still pictured Dobrev devastated over the break up. Reed was disappointed that Dobrev was able to find someone like Stowell.
