"The Vampire Diaries" co-star and former couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev reportedly did not end their relationship in good terms. They may have broken up a couple of years ago, but Nikki Reed is allegedly jealous of her husband's ex-girlfriend.
According to Realty Today, Reed is trying to do everything she can to outdo Dobrev. The "Twilight" actress allegedly wanted to outshine her and her new boyfriend Austin Stowell. It was said that Reed was not happy that Dobrev and Stowell were getting all the attention from the media and fans. She believed that the actress was doing it on purpose to get back at her from "stealing" Somerhalder.
Dobrev and Somerhalder tried to remain friends after the break up. However, Reed's never-ending jealousy reportedly took a toll on their friendship. It was said that she was the one who demanded her husband to unfollow Dobrev on Twitter. She was reportedly furious that he still wanted to get updates from his former girlfriend. The actress even liked a fan post stating that she is a better match for Somerhalder than Dobrev.
According to International Business Times, the reason why Dobrev left "The Vampire Diaries" was because she got uncomfortable seeing Somerhalder and Reed together. It was said that he was constantly flaunting their relationship to her face, which got on her nerves.
The actor claimed that she could not find someone like him, allegedly still hurting from the break up. Somerhalder was reportedly surprised when he found out that she had started dating "Whiplash" actor Austin Stowell.
