Callie Faces Her Fate In Finale Episode On 'The Fosters' (Photo : YouTube)
ABC Family aired the high-on-drama finale episode of season 3 of the hit series, "The Fosters," on Aug. 17, Monday. The episode 10, titled "Lucky," featured the crumbling relationship between Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum), along with the adoption proceedings of Callie (Maia Mitchell) and her secret relation with Brandon (David Lambert). The episode also featured Rita, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), Mat (Jordan Rodrigues), Lena's parents and Jesus (Jake T. Austin).
The episode 9 ended with a make-out scene of Callie and Brandon. The episode 10 begins with the duo cuddling in the bed and talking about their future. As they head back home, they find Rita with Stef and Lena who announces that she is going to recommend the adoption of Callie.
Callie gets upset and later talks to Rita who says that she felt obliged as she saved her from jail time. Rita informs her that Brooke and Carmen are back in juvie.
Tension is still evident between Stef and Lena who are throwing a marriage anniversary party for the latter's parents when Stef gets a call from Dr. Weiss who calls her in for another round of mammogram.
Callie and Brandon are upset as they thought the adoption is off the table before making out. Now the duo is contemplating whether or not to reveal their secret to the family members after which Brandon insists to stay mum on the topic.
Lena's parents, Dana and Stewart, come over and are received warmly by the family. Mariana opens up with Stewart about her feelings for Mat after which Stewart suggests her to fight for his forgiveness.
Mariana announces to Brandon and Mat that she wants to sing "Love Will Keep us Together" at the anniversary party since the song was a hit in the year they got married. Mat refuses to be part of the song while Mariana and Brandon decide to continue practicing.
Lena has a heart-to-heart talk with Jude about his relationship with Connor and tells him that she wants him to be safe and gives him a condom.
Stef and Lena again have an argument about Monte's feelings towards Lena. Callie comes to Brandon's room and tells him that she loves him.
Next day, the party preparations are in full swing when Stewart is shocked to find Nate in the household after which Lena says she invited him. Nate apologizes and later hugs with Stewart. Meanwhile, Stef gets a call from her doctor who inform her that everything is fine after which she hugs with Lena in a loving embrace.
The family goes to court room to hear the judgement on Callie's adoption where she declares that she consider herself lucky because she is finally safe and found a family to love her. The judge ask Brandon if there is any romantic relation between him and Callie to which he replies that it is all over.
The judge grants the adoption and the family jumps into celebration. Back home, they find Jesus who says he was trying to get there in time for the adoption but his flight got delayed.
