It seems like the “Mortal Kombat X” will more likely receive the speculated “Kombat Pack 2” with the Sektor, Alien and Ninja characters, possibly included in the next season pass.
Though there is no official word as of now, NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon, as usual has tweeted on his twitter account, about the upcoming pack with images featuring Alien, Sektor and a Ninja with the words “Straight Outta KP2,” This Is Xbox reported.
This is not the first instance that Boon has teased about a possible Alien DLC as previously, during the E3 2015, he tweeted about Terminator and Alien DLC.
Boon has been teasing fans with characters like Meat and Rain for the next pack for a while with the hashtag #IfThereIsAKombatPack2, since the release of Predator. While there are a number of non-playable characters including Baraka, Sindel, Spawn, Smoke and Fujin, other than Rain and Meat, the chances of Fujin and Smoke seems to be pretty less. Earlier reports pointed to Spawn and Sindel joining the roster with "Kombat Pack 2."
In other news, NetherRealm is also working on the “Mortal Kombat X” version for the last generation consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Boon also recently tweeted that the update for PS3 and Xbox 360 is coming soon. However, the GameStop website still lists the game with a Dec 31, placeholder, GameSpot reported.
The said version has been delayed for more than once and there is no specific release date till now. Rumor has it that the game will be released by the end of August, however, the developer as well as the creator are yet to officially confirm anything related to the “Mortal Kombat X” PS3 and Xbox 360 release.
