Google announced that Android's smartwatch will get an upgrade that will give users more interactions with their wearable.
Android Wear, an operating system developed through Google's Android Open Source Program, will receive an update, including unique watch faces that can installed with all new functions.
A feature called Bits, shows users minimalistic design with interactive circles at the edges, encompassing an analog clock display. This new face will show the consumer the date, weather, and scheduled tasks, at a simple tap of the labeled circle, according to New York Daily News.
Meanwhile, another new feature called Under Armour will showcase a fitness centered display, showing functions such as pedometer, calorimeter and distance traveled. This watch face presents the operator a polar clock at the sides with the center displaying the aforementioned features.
For socialites, the new feature called Together is a watch face that allows users to sync up with different users letting them send photos, message and emoticons. This makes this attachment suitable for people who have active social lives.
With the recent updates rolling up, Google's automated multilingual interpreter, the aptly named Translate, shows promise in the various new features, giving the app autonomy by letting users translate full statements without the aid of a smartphone.
The translator can decode phrases said in a little over 40 languages, and will automatically translate any foreign language it detects.
Google is supportive of this project because of it being part of the global movement of improving their mobile OS project. The company supplies the developers a lot of leg room to work in, helping Android Wear achieve a better reception from the public, Greenbot reported.
Version 1.3, the update for the smartwatch, will be released by next week and will be wirelessly accessible. Android wear is being welcomed by developers, and seeks to give users a new experience on smaller technologies.
