Liga Panameña de Fútbol 2014 Apertura champions San Francisco FC battles Liga MX squad Querétaro FC for the second time in the Group C competitions of the 2015-2016 CONCACAF Champions League at the former's home stadium of Estadio Maracaná in Panama City on Wednesday.
Their first meeting ended with former Mexican national team manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich's squad blanking Los Monjes, 2-0, at Querétaro's home field of Estadio Corregidora last August 4 during their tournament opener.
Argentine striker Emanuel Villa scored via a header one minute after the hour mark to put Los Albiazules on the board for the first time in the game. Mexican defender Victor Milke followed it up from open play at the 75th-minute to put Los Gallos Blancos ahead by two.
The score held on from there as the Mexicans came away with the victory at home. Vucetich and his men will try to duplicate their victory amidst the passionate crowd of Panama City.
Prediction: A close 1-0 victory for Querétaro. The White Roosters may be on the road, but they have the stronger lineup on paper and so it would be a tough, tough victory in Panama City.
