Chris Paul and Kyrie Irving are both cornerstones of their team and there seems to be no way that their respective teams would trade them..for now.

Trade speculations continue, and more blockbuster trades that seem outlandish may become remote possibilities if certain conditions arise.

The site Sir Charles In Charge argues that the Los Angeles Clippers are "setting themselves up for failure" this season despite what many consider to be a successful offseason.

The averted disaster of  DeAndre Jordan transferring to Dallas was the story of the summer, but will it be enough to bring the Clippers over the top? How much have they really improved since last season?

According to the site, not so much. The average age for the team got older with acquisitions like Josh Smith, Pablo Prigioni and Paul Pierce. But that's just fine when one considers that the Clips are in "win now" mode.

But can they win now? It's noteworthy that the Warriors are fully intact (as champions, that's all they need to be), the Spurs whom they beat by a hair in the first round added LaMarcus Aldridge and David West and the Rockets got a veteran point guard they coveted in Ty Lawson.

The Clips added Lance Stephenson but the article presents him as more of a problem than a solution. In short, they predict that the Clippers would fail early.

That would result in a disgruntled CP3, who is already being heavily criticized for his playoff failures-the same place LeBron James was before he transferred to Miami. It will be a major problem for the Clippers if CP3 demanded a trade.

But the solution they present is a trade for Kyrie Irving. The whole trade has Chris Paul and Jamal Crawford-already a trade rumor staple, going to the Cavs while Kyrie Irving and Anderson Varejao move to the Clips.

A new Big Three of CP3, LeBron and Kevin Love in the Eastern Conference will virtually guarantee a beeline to the Finals where they will battle a Western Conference death race survivor.

It will favor the Cavs, but a comment from "disqus_uXZepe54t6" presumably the writer of the article, says: "At this very moment, a Kyrie/CP3 trade is absolute nonsense and would be laughed at by both sides. I hear all of you and also think the Clippers would get shafted in such a deal. But put yourselves in the Clippers' shoes and imagine what they're thinking in January IF the team is hovering around .500?"

This is the context of the trade he proposed, but Clips fans have shot it down. From Clipperholics, the contention is that the organization is just as much in "win now" mode as the Cavs.

"All in all, the keyword in this particular discussion is 'now,'" the site stated. "Moving young pieces for Chris Paul. Trading picks for Doc Rivers. Moving Eric Bledsoe for veterans. Trading draft picks for 'now' pieces? Not putting stock in the NBA draft. These are all signs the Clippers are invested in the now. And as long as Doc Rivers is in town, they'll be pushing for a ship."
