Apple released the 12-inch MacBook 2015 in March and reportedly plans to release the iPad Pro later this year.

While the MacBook failed to make a splash in the market as the specs and features that fell short of the expectations of consumers and intense competition in the laptop market.

New rumors claimed that Apple will release iPad Pro, which is purported to be a laptop-tablet hybrid and will come with a detachable keyboard as accessory. Thus, it will surely replace the Apple MacBook 2015 in the market and will be the direct competitor of Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

Below is the comparison of some the specs and features Apple MacBook 2015 against the rumored specifications of iPad Pro.

Screen Display

Apple MacBook sports 12-inch screen display with 2304 x 1440 pixel resolution, while iPad Pro is rumored to boast a 12.9-inch screen panel with 2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution.

Processor

The thinnest MacBook is powered by the latest 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor, but the upcoming iPad Pro will be more powerful thanks to Intel Skylake processor.

Storage

Apple MacBook offers larger storage than MacBook Air. The device has 256GB and 512GB storage variants in comparison with the 128GB and 512GB MacBook Air models. Taking a hint from the previous iPad models, the iPad Pro will most likely offer 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB.

Operating System

Apple's newest laptop runs with OS X Yosemite, while it is still unknown whether the iPad Pro will run with iOS 9 or OS X El Capitan.

Camera

The Apple MacBook has 480p FaceTime camera, while the iPad Pro will reportedly sport an 8 MP iSight camera at the back and 2.1 MP front-facing camera.

iPad Pro is rumored to be released in October. However, Apple has not confirmed the aforementioned rumors yet.
