"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" creator Hideo Kojima has recently released a 10-minute emotional video for the fans of "Metal Gear" series.
"Metal Gear Solid V" video was posted online at the same day "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," was released, Tuesday. The video shows the daunting tasks and dedication the team had endured to deliver the current game to its fans. Kojima also took the opportunity to give thanks to the fans, who have stayed true to "Metal Gear," GameSpot reported.
"MGS 5 Debriefing" was the title of the 10-minute emotional video that shows its fans how the game was produced. With the behind-the-scenes footage, fans will also be able to have a look at the people responsible for the game development.
A portion of the video shows Kojima visiting Sean Gillespie's family. Gillespie is an avid "Metal Gear" fan. Unfortunately, he passed away on Feb. 8 because of cancer. It was later revealed in the video that Kojima received a letter from the fan before the unfortunate incident. The said letter has served the team as an inspiration, during their hard times, to push the game successfully forward, which they did.
"My energy comes from the players. My mission is to exceed their expectations. It's all that matters to me. I've been working on making 'MGS V' the best it can possibly be, balancing and tweaking right up until the very end. Players will not be disappointed," Kojima said in the video.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, many fans are wondering now if the 10-minute touching video is the farewell video of Kojima to the enthusiastic fans of the "Metal Gear" franchise, VG247 reported.
