"Masterchef" season 6 episode 18 will see top four home cooks dealing with the skilled taste of judges.
In the episode titled "Think Inside the Box," Graham Elliot, Gordon Ramsay, and Christina Tosi will have a central role of choosing the main ingredients for the next challenges, TV Guide reported. The rest of the contestants will have no other option but to make their best dishes out of these components or risk losing their crucial opportunity of becoming the best home cook in America.
As the finale approaches, the judges will be very hard to please at this point. For the mystery box challenge, competitors will prepare an appetizer and an entrée chosen by Elliot and Ramsay. The contestants will have to work in pair and prepare their meals twice as much.
The contestant who will emerge as a winner will have an added advantage of moving to the top three. On the other hand, the losing pair will compete with each other in the pressure test, facing Tosi's challenge that involves preparation of a chocolate-malted layer cake.
The four remaining home cooks this season are at the same level in the competition, Cartermatt noted. Any contestant has a chance to take the coveted "MasterChef" trophy. According to the released trailer by Fox, the pairs for the challenge this week are Nick Nappi/Claudia Sandoval and Derrick Peltz/Stephen Lee.
The pairing is interesting since the former is a low-key whereas the latter is greatly passionate. A major concern is whether Peltz and lee will have clashes with regard to their personalities or not. Their hope is on Sandoval and Nappi who are not as talkative as the rest of the cooks.
"MasterChef" season 6 airs on Wednesday on Fox at 8 p.m. EST.
