The Motorola Droid Turbo 2, an upcoming Verizon-bound flagship smartphone could be released internationally under a different brand name.
The rumored Android-powered handset is set to be unveiled some time next month, and reports are stating that the device would finally get to see the light of day in other markets overseas.
Previously, the rumored handset has been referred to as the Motorola Bounce, according to sources from Phandroid. The smartphone packs some serious flagship specs that would even beat the company's existing high-end models like the Moto X Pure Edition and the Moto X Sport.
However, a new report confirmed by @UpLeaks claimed that the Bounce branding was only an internal label for the smartphone within the company, and it would actually be referred to as the Motorola X Force when it hits other countries.
The upcoming Motorola device is rumored to boast a 5.43-inch display with a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution. The screen was referred to as a 'shatterproof' glass, which is good news for people with slippery and sloppy fingers.
Other alleged specs include a 3,760mAh battery and wireless charging.
Similar to the original Motorola Droid Turbo that was announced last year, the Droid Turbo 2 should be announced and made available via Verizon at first, and then eventually become available for purchase in other countries.
Unfortunately, it was not mentioned which countries would get the device. Last year, only a few select markets in South America were able to get their hands on the Droid Turbo, which was rebranded as the Moto Maxx.
