Director James Gunn said that The Hulk will not be part of his Marvel Comics film "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2."
On Sept. 7, Gunn tweeted a post on his official Twitter account, in response to the question tweeted by Twitter user Mark Holmes. Holmes asked for Gunn's thoughts on the idea that The Hulk could be seen in "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2." Gunn replied that there was no chance The Hulk would be seen in his upcoming film.
The Hulk was rumored to be outside the planet following the conclusion of Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which will let him spend his time alone. According to Cinema Blend, this will lead the Green Giant to Peter Quill and the other Guardians, and will serve as Marvel Studios' cinematic adaptation of the "Planet Hulk" in the comics.
Mark Ruffalo is the man behind the Green Avenger. In his recent interview with Bad Taste during a film festival in Venice, Ruffalo said that his character was supposed to appear in "Captain America: Civil War." However, the production opted to remove his character in the storyline and in the script. According to the actor, the production did not disclose where his character was and if he would be back soon.
Meanwhile, The Hulk's fellow Avengers will be seen in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which follows the release of the Accords, a new law set by the government to limit the superheroes in using their superpowers and abilities. The law serves as the film adaptation of the Superhero Registration Act that was released by the government in the comics.
Directed by the Russos, "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016 while "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
