Superhero movie will continue to thrive in the big screen, according to Chris Evans.
In his interview with Collider to promote his film "Before We Go," Evans said that superhero films could do really well if there is enough foundation and if it attaches fans to reality. The actor also revealed that while some superhero films feel like superhero films, the Russos' films are nearly human stories "sprinkled" with a bit of superhero.
For the actor, the extraordinary powers of a superhero could be tiring, but it is the director's creative take on the flavor and the tone are what matters and what make moviegoers come back and watch the film.
Marvel Studios is making an attempt to blend superhero elements with humanistic elements in its films, as per Cinema Blend. The Russos' "The Winter Soldier" could be the studios' version of a 1970s political thriller film while Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man" rose as the studios first "heist" film. Then, it has been reported that Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" film will be Marvel's high school comedy.
While the audience could get exhausted of seeing comic-book film adaptations in the big screen and look for alternative "flavors" of entertainment, they could these "flavors" in Marvel's superhero films, if the directors apply a creative touch to their films.
Evans is set to play Marvel's iconic supersoldier Captain America in the Russos' upcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which follows the release of the superhero registration act or the "accords." The new law leads to a clash between Captain America, who does not favor the law, and Iron Man, who is in favor of the act.
The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016.
