The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants came out on opposite ends of success in their respective season openers against powerhouse teams Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys during week 1 of NFL 2015 action respectively.
While Matt Ryan and the Falcons survived the challenge of Sam Bradford's Eagles, 26-24, on Monday night, via ESPN, the Giants were unable to pull off an upset at the AT&T Stadium on Sunday as they surrender a heartbreaking game to the Cowboys, 27-26, as reported by Yahoo Sports.
A match between the Falcons and Giants are always highly-anticipated by football enthusiasts and this one at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday will be no exception.
Atlanta's defense, which stood firm against Chip Kelly's squad in the final minutes to snatch the victory, would be their main advantage in this contest.
Meanwhile, the Giants will continue to rely on Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.'s plays to challenge the visitors, while also holding up their own on defense.
It would be a close game, but the pain of almost winning against the Cowboys will toughen the character of Tom Coughlin's Giants and they will squeak this one at home over the Falcons.
