One Direction fans were disheartened when the boyband failed to release their new album last Sept. 10.
According to Sugarscape, Directioners had the surprise of their life when Siri revealed that the group is releasing their first album after Zayn Malik's departure. The publication also reported that customer service department over at Walmart confirmed the album will be out by then.
Unfortunately, a week has almost passed and we have yet to hear updates about the album. Their fifth upcoming album is reportedly very special as it will be the last time fans will be hearing from the boys this year. One Direction will take an extended hiatus starting 2016 after they release their latest offering.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, producer and songwriter Julian Bunetta described the fifth album as the band's best one yet. She added that it was able to showcase how the group has really grown over the years.
Much like their latest single "Drag Me Down," Bunetta shared that fans can expect to see a different side of One Direction. She explained that they are "more mature" this time around. She said that the boys poured out different kinds of emotions in the coming album.
The composer also mentioned that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne were all very much hands on in making the new songs. With Malik gone, Bunetta revealed that his presence is very much missed on the studio. She, however, shared that the group is making the best they can out of the situation.
"Obviously there's a personality missing, but they're still the same guys. They still have the same attitudes. It's not like it's worse or better," she shared.
