A new buzz is going around regarding a possible "Man of Steel" sequel with the inclusion of Supergirl, Bizarro, and Braniac on the big screen.
Umberto Gonzalez of Heroic Hollywood reported this hot rumor as he has has been at the forefront of superhero scoops since the site's inception.
According to Comic Planet Culture For Life, "Man of Steel" may have been a box-office success but it received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike.
Forbes reported that "Batman v. Superman" was originally staged as the sequel to "Man of Steel" but when it was tabbed with the subtitle "Dawn of Justice," it was clear that Warner Bros. was going for a prequel to the "Justice League" movie instead.
According to Gonzales, Brainiac is after the same codex (found in Superman's body) that General Zod was searching for in "Man of Steel." This time he sets his eyes on another Kryptonian who has the genetic codex, Supergirl.
Going back to the rumored plot, in order for Brainiac to capture Supergirl, he uses whatever knowledge he has of Kryptonians and creates Bizarro. Brainiac then sends his creation to seize Supergirl and take hold of the codex which eluded Zod.
Heroic Hollywood also said that director George Miller of the highly acclaimed "Mad Max: Fury Road" is considering the job especially since it features a strong female lead in the mix with Supergirl.
It's a job that Miller can take on if he wants to and could pave the way for more projects in the DC Expanded Universe for the famed director if he succeeds with the "Man of Steel" sequel.
