Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7+ release is expected to happen in February 2016 and will boast iPhone-like specs and features.
According to Android Origin, Samsung Galaxy S7 will make use of magnesium alloy to make the smartphone's body more durable. It is also one of the best materials in dissipating heat, which is the same concept used by Apple in iPhones. Apple makes use of a combination of zinc and magnesium with aluminum.
Other Samsung Galaxy S7 alleged specs and features leaked online thanks to AnTuTu benchmark. Based on the benchmark, the handset will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset contrary to the previous reports that the handset will be equipped with Exynos 8890 processor. It is still early to say that this is final as it is possible that the tech company is testing both processors.
The processor will be paired with 4GB of RAM, which is above current standards. However, the benchmark revealed that the upcoming handset will be coming with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, which is disappointing since Android 6.0 Marshmallow is bound for release later this year.
Other purported features of Samsung Galaxy S7 are 5.7-inch display, 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. These features are slightly below the previously reported specifications of the handset. Previous rumors claimed that the smartphone will pack a 5.8-inch screen panel and 20MP ISOCELL rear-facing camera.
One of the shocking developments in the recently released smartphones is its non-removable battery. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ herald a new generation of Samsung smartphones that will no longer sport a removable battery pack. This is very similar to Apple's iPhones. The Samsung Galaxy S7 may be available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Silver Titan, White Pearl like the Galaxy Note 5.
Although Samsung has not confirmed it yet, predictions arise that the device will be released earl next year.
