A day after the launched of new Apple devices, rumors have surfaced stating that Samsung has already started with its Galaxy S7 under the Project Lucky.
Rumors stated that South Korean mobile vendor giant will launch two models; a 5.2-inch version and a 5.8-inch phablet version, BGR reported. The two models bring it some interesting details on a few of its specs. It also suggests that it will continue to sport metal and glass combination chassis and feature expandable microSD storage slot.
These two variants will feature two different CPU, one is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and the other one is under Samsung’s very own Exynos 8890 (Exynos M1 Project) chipset clocked at at 2.3GHz, according to International Business Times. It has Adreno 530 graphics. Both of them has 4GB of RAM, with two internal storage options: 32GB and 64GB and UFS 2.0 storage, which may or may not work with SD cards for storage expansion. But the company might find a way to make it work with SD cards, so they are now testing the devices with the ultra fast UFS 2.0 storage.
Samsung Galaxy S7 variants will sport 20MP ISOCELL camera, along with a project called “all lens cover,” but no further details yet on what it can do.
Galaxy S7 two variants is expected to launch in April 2016 and Samsung aims to complete the device by the end of the year. There is a possibility that specifications may still change.
Meanwhile, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge delivers good quality mobile specs, but it does not help the South Korean tech giant to gain more. Samsung is hopeful that Galaxy S7 may help, providing more special features for the upcoming smartphone.
