Tech giant Microsoft has already begun sending out invitations for the Windows 10 devices launch event that will take place in New York on Oct. 6.
The company will launch a number of devices including Surface Pro 4, a new Microsoft Band, Lumia 950, and Lumia 950 XL mobile handsets. However, there is no official confirmation from Microsoft concerning the release of these devices.
According to The Verge, Microsoft's invitation read, "We have some exciting news to share about Windows 10 devices. Join us for the media briefing at the Skylight at Moynihan Station in New York City on October 6th at 10:00 a.m. EDT."
The event comes soon after the largely disillusioning turnout for the company's IFA Berlin earlier this month. since Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 was a big success, the company has much in store with the successor, Surface Pro 4.
There are high possibilities that the upcoming Surface Pro 4 will be different from its precursor. However, the tech company has teased that it will maintain the general design factor and charging system for the upcoming Pro 4 gadget, particularly for businesses that have already put their investment in things such as charging stations.
There will be some changes to the device. The company will likely enhance the display resolution and make the device a little bit slimmer and lighter than the Surface Pro 3. Rumors indicate that the company will incorporate a fingerprint scanner in the next device of the Surface Pro family.
In addition to just having the 12-inch variant, the company plans to introduce a 14-inch version, which is one of the larger tablets on the market. The device comes after the announcement of Apple's iPad Pro, the largest tablet in the history of Apple.
According to Tech Times, Windows 10 has become an increasingly popular operating system after its launch in July. The OS runs across computers, tablets and smartphones, and is has garnered more support from users than the previous Windows 8.
