The OnePlus smartphone rumored to be released this year was leaked online.
According to GizmoChina via Demanjo, the OnePlus handset will be called OnePlus X. The OnePlus X is supposed to be the rumored OnePlus Mini.
In the leaked photos, the device has a front panel and a fingerprint scanner. It also has a dual-camera setup at the back. These cameras also have a dual-LED flash module.
On the other hand, the bottom panel of the device featured a speaker grille and a charging slot. The entire look of the OnePlus X (or OnePlus Mini) was very far from the recently released OnePlus 2.
The device will also run on a Snapdragon 615 and will feature USB Type-C and FHD screen, according to Technology Personified. There are no reports on the RAM and internal memory yet, but considering the Snapdragon update, the device is already one a competitive stand in the market.
The leak photos could actually be legitimate since OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei previously told USA Today that they will be releasing a new smartphone by December.
"There's going to be a second phone [after OnePlus 2] this year, before the end of the year. Hopefully for Christmas," said Pei.
Pei added that the new smartphone will have a better design than OnePlus 2. He added that the functionalities will also be different since they are targeting a different audience for this phone.
According to International Business Times, the new device will sport a full-plastic body. It will also have a smaller size compared to OnePlus 2 and will be offered at the cheaper price tag of at $249.
