Before “Empire” season 2 premieres on Fox on Sept. 23, Wednesday, Terrence Howard appeared on “Tonight Show,” where he and host Jimmy Fallon starred in a new digital original spoof called “Jimpire,”
In the “Empire” spoof, Howard played half Lucious Lyon and half Tony Stark while Fallon played Juicy Jim. Debating which of his minions should take over his “Tonight Show” Jimpire if the worst happened to him, Fallon said, “I might not be around forever, what with my finger being in the condition it’s in.”
In “Jimpire,” Fallon tried to decide between Questlove, Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter or Dion Flynn (aka Andre) to become his successor as “Tonight Show” host. Another character named Higgy (Steve Higgins) insisted that he is entitled to half of Juicy Jim’s kingdom.
Aside from Howard, the main characters of “Empire” season 2 are played by Serayah McNeill, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Kaitlin Doubleday, Grace Gealey, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers and Taraji P. Henson.
Aside from playing Lucious Lyon in “Empire” season 2, Howard is also set to star in the TV series “Hada Madrina.”
“Empire” season 2 guest stars include Mariah Carey, Vivica A. Fox, Peter Pablo, Swizz Beatz, Don Lemon, Veronika Bozeman, Ludacris, Becky G, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Andre Leon Talley, Al Sharpton and Mo McRae.
