The sweet and soft vocals of Gomez matched the stripped down version of the track. The "Good for You" singer also retained the part where she's supposedly asking the hand of a girl in marriage.

The band MAGIC! showed their appreciation and support on Twitter saying that they love Gomez's version of the song.
Gomez's new album "Revival" will be released on October 9, according to Music Times. It is headlined by hit singles "Good for You" and "Same Old Love."
Her music video for "Same Old Love" featured the old Hollywood glam theme. Her sultry voice perfectly complemented the overall vibe of the video which is directed by Michael Haussman.
According to People, the music video was filmed at the Palace Theater in Los Angeles during a special fan event so die hard Selenators were also part of it.
Us Magazine reported that the pop superstar said that body shaming served as an inspiration for her new album.
She shared that she went through a period when people were being hateful to her because of her weight gain. This inspired her to write songs such as "Survivors," "Rise," and "Kill Em With Kindness."
Gomez added that she channeled her emotions in those songs.
