Last night, Jimmy Lin attended the National Opera Gala night held by Anhui Satellite TV. Lin responded to the recent fake drugs scandal that has been heavily reported by the media.
Lin claimed that all the medicines his factory produces are legal and have passed the safety and qualification test. All operations of the company strictly follow the laws and regulations. The medicines are reasonably priced as 36 RMB per bottle, same as the average market price and the pictures he posted on social networks were just for fun, he didn't mean to fake anything or fool anyone.
Lin brought his products to the event as well. He said that all products were tested by Zhejiang and Shanghai health administration bureau. Public record is accessible online in case anyone wants to investigate.
Lin also defended for the pricing, saying that the price of 36 RMB per bottle is very reasonable, that there is no way that the producing cost is only 4 RMB per bottle. "Plus, there is a book that I wrote that comes with the box. There is a gift package as well." Lin added.
Lin also talked about the "faked pictures" he posted on his Weibo, such as the picture of his sports cars that got flooded, his picture with his idol Schumacher, etc. People have found out that these pictures were photoshoped by Lin, that the cars are not his own cars and he never really took a picture with Schumacher. He said that he "faked" these pictures just for fun. He would never have thought that people would take these pictures seriously.
