A big part of watching WWE's weekly programs is coming up with fascinating storylines and rivalries that tickle the imagination of fans. Some spin these rumor mills for the sake of creativity, while others vie for a push of their favorite superstar.
In this edition, highlights and lowlights include NXT TakeOver, Wrestlemania, and live shows security.
As always, the WWE Universe should take all of these with a grain of salt.
NXT News
Last year, a proposal to include some NXT storylines on weekly episodes of WWE RAW was set on the table in hopes of cultivating rising stars. The plan clearly didn't push through, but as for who vetoed it, is still up in the air. Some even speculate that it was all part of a backstage power struggle.
In other NXT news, rumors are swirling that Goldust may have a big part in the upcoming TakeOver event other than crowning the winner of the tag team tournament organized in honor of his late father, Dusty Rhodes.
Wrestlemania Update
Apparently, a Brock Lesnar versus The Rock matchup at Wrestlemania 32 is off the table. It's rumored, however, that the Great One will face long-time nemesis Triple H in the said event.
Speaking of Wrestlemania, the WWE Universe won't see another sighting of UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. With a busy movie schedule and a possible fight camp, it seems that a dream match against Stephanie McMahon will be on the shelf a little bit longer.
WWE Beefs Up Arena Security
In light of the recent - and separate - incidents involving former Shield members Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns, the WWE has taken measures to beef up its live show security.
Some fans even commented about the increase in the arena's security personnel as a way of preventing unwanted audience interaction.
