"Fifty Shades Darker" will reportedly postpone its filming until mid-2016 because it hasn't hired a casting director yet.
In an interview with E! News, producer Dana Brunetti revealed that Henry Cavill cannot be cast to play Jack Hyde primarily because they have not even chosen their casting director yet.
"We're nowhere near casting. We haven't gotten into anything like that. We don't even have a casting director on it yet," he said.
Meanwhile, according to Movie Pilot, this could mean trouble for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" franchise because they a casting director is very important for any film.
Additionally, the publication claimed that another problem that's causing a delay in the film's production has to do with the new ratings for "Fifty Shades Darker."
The publication claimed that fans criticized "Fifty Shades of Grey" for its lack of raunchy scenes. Now, it's highly likely that the same thing will happen to "Fifty Shades Darker."
With this, fans believe that it is necessary for the producers to consider changing the film's rating so it can include more adult scenes.
In other news, book author E.L. James previously confirmed that she will also be writing a new version of "Fifty Shades Darker" that will be told from Christian Grey's perspective.
Fans are now suggesting that this is the version that should be shown for the big screen. However, since the story hasn't been completed yet, this seems like an impossible suggestion to consider.
"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
