Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for G4 phablet is underway.
G4, the flagship device of LG has been disclosed since August to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Phandroid reported. However, the current reports have revealed that this device will still run the final Lollipop software edition.
While LG has yet to give their final word on this, the upgrade will likely run the updated version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. A photo leaked in August revealing that G2's 5.1.1 upgrade is actually taking place. But partner carriers and the South Korean tech titan have not driven-in the overdue upgrade since.
LG G4 phablet is said to come with a lot of bugs that affect the scrolls, keyboard, WiFi, touch screen, music, battery and a few other vital elements. Other issues are reported in delayed response to screen tap, photo rotation, photo editing, volume shortcuts, delayed launcher, charging, Google Play, heat and more. The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade is therefore expected to fix these known errors and bugs, Android reported.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will also bring other latest features such as a Bluetooth button on the screen of the dial-pad and will also be available with priority mode for events and SMS and with a notification scan.
Apart from LG's local features, the upgrade is coming with its improved Material Design, device sharing, USB Type-C support and fingerprint and device sync among others.
LG G4 has kept silent on the rumors, yet it gave out clues about the forthcoming release of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. If it will not come out in October, then most likely it will be rolled out in December or early 2016.
