Nelly Alia-Kelin, one of the researchers, said that they did this to investigate what is going on the brains of people who love watching violent movies.

However, they already hypothesized that people who have aggressive traits will process violent movies differently than non-aggressive people.

Using brain scanning, researchers found out that even though aggressive people do not watch aggressive movies their brain still registered high activity.

They said that this showed that aggressive people have different brain map than non-aggressive people.

Despite this, researchers found that when aggressive people watch violent movues their brain functions less and becomes inspired and determined than non-aggressive people.

Their blood pressure also went down, while, non-aggressive people had a rise in blood pressure, they added.

Alia-Klein said that how an individual responds to their environment depends on the brain of the individual.

She said that aggression starts from childhood that is solidified into adulthood that coaches determines the personality of the person.

This could determine how media motivates aggressive and non-aggressive people, she explained.

Hopefully, these results will give educators the opportunity to identify aggressive children and teach them on how to handle their aggressive behavior, she concluded.

The study was published in Plos One and came from Mount Sainai Medical Center.
