The "Back to the Future" celebration has invaded even the gaming industry with Rocket League featuring the DeLorean time machine car pack to commemorate the movie's 30th anniversary!
In the trailer below featured in the PlayStation blog, it showed the famous DeLorean DMC-12 time machine car pack all set to be used by gamers on October 21, 2015.
It was the same date Michael J. Fox traveled to the future in the film "Back to the Future II." The DeLorean wheels will be a Battle-Car in the league!
In the movie, the car was invented by Dr. Emmett Brown and was used by Marty McFly. One of the cars used in the film is currently displayed at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
Game developers in Psyonix admit that they are huge fans of the franchise and for them the DeLorean vehicle is one of the holy grails they've always wanted to include in the game.
They're also pretty stoked that they have the opportunity to feature the car at the same time that it fictionally time traveled!
According to Attackofthefanboy, the special car pack will retail at $1.99. Aside from the car, the pack also has the signature "Burnt Rubber" rocket trail to go along with it!
The creative team of Psyonix worked meticulously to recreate the look and feel of the car. They also included the swag folding jet-wheels and it looks just like the one in the film! There's too much automobile awesomeness going down on October 21st!
