The former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher continues showing signs of improvement even as his net worth greatly reduces.
In a statement, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm said that her client is recuperating but he will take some time to recover fully from the injuries, according to TVNZ.
Kehm revealed, "We are happy to say still he does improvement and I say this always considering the severeness of the injury he had. But of course it will take a very long time for everybody involved to fight, and we are happy to take this fight."
According to Express, Kehm plans to maintain details of Schumi's rehabilitation scanty and that official health updates about her client should exclusively come from her.
Meanwhile, with Schumacher's net worth of $800 million and his cost of rehabilitation increasing to approximately $154,000 per week, it is unclear whether the current net worth will be sufficient for him to secure a future and assure his medical expenses.
The seven time Formula One champion continues to recover at his Lake Geneva Mansion where he is under care of 15 medical specialists including doctors, nurses, and therapists. Reportedly, Schumi's medical expenses have already reached $15 million.
Schumacher's wife is now in charge of all the family businesses. It is reported that the family has already sold the ex-racer's personal Jet and a holiday home, approximated at $25 million, to cater for the ever increasing medical expenses.
The family believes that Schumacher's health is priority and they will do everything within their ability to ensure his timely recovery.
The former champion suffered head and brain injuries while skiing in the French Alps on Dec. 29, 2013. The accident left Schumi placed under a medically induced coma to stabilize his condition. He exhibited improvement under strict observation and a tightly guarded facility barring all unofficial communications with any media outlet.
