Lamar Odom's choice of going to Love Ranch to spend four days of fun with women has benefitted the brothel in two ways.
First, Odom paid $75,000 for four to five days of stay with Ryder Cherry and Monica Monroe as his sex partners. Second, the incident wherein Odon was found unconscious on Tuesday afternoon after allegedly taking cocaine and 10 tablets of Reload, a herbal sexual performance enhancer supplement, made the brothel a tourist attraction.
LA Times reported that tourists descended in numbers at Crystal in rural Nevada to see what is it about the place that attracts people in search of "fun." Media men also came, some to join a tour organized by the brothel managers on Wednesday.
But because of the excessive media attention, Love Ranch shift manager Lawanna Olberding said the brothel would be closed to walk-in customers for some time, but it would accept clients who had prior reservations done weeks or months ago.
The incident also made media stars of Ryder and Monica that one U.S. newspaper offered $2,000 to Love Ranch to take the photos of the two sex trade workers who found Lamar unconscious. However, the brothel rejected the offer, possibly because the incident traumatized the two women that one of them had locked herself inside the room.
Media has kept a watch at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center where Odom is in a medically induced coma after an ischemic stroke. Passersby also took selfies at the hospital.
According to E! News, it was Khloe Kardashian, the former husband of Odom, who arranged to fly in to Texas Joe Odom, Lamar's father, and Liza Morales, his ex-girlfriend and their two children - 17-year-old Destiny and 13-year-old Lamar Jr.
In a statement, the kids said, "Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this moment. We ask for your continued prayers."
