Citing its sources, TMZ reports that former NBA player Lamar Odom suffered from a drug overdose. The MRI also revealed that he had multiple strokes, although it is unclear if Lamar sustained brain damage.
But he also suffered kidney damage which requires the athlete to undergo a dialysis that was successful.
However, there are confusing accounts of the basketballer's real condition following a statement from Rev. Jesse Jackson who said that Odom's condition is improving. But TMZ's sources insist that Lamar remains unresponsive and that the pastor was allowed only three minutes to pray for the former husband of Khloe Kardashian in a medically induced coma.
The New York Post also cites its sources who said that Odom had "virtually every drug imaginable in his system and track marks on one arm. They add that chances are the athlete also had brain damage because of the ischemic stroke that led to a drug-induced blood clot that blocked blood flow to his brain.
Doctors are Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center are fixing all the damage sustained by Odom, including clearing his system as he is choking on his mucous because of the crack cocaine he took over the weekend. Lamar also took Reload, the brand of herbal sexual enhancement supplements that Love Ranch sold to Lamar which was the subject of a 2013 warning by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Reload contains sildenafil, the same ingredient found in Viagra, which when taken with other drugs, could result in blood pressure dropping to dangerous levels.
He apparently also drank cognac since there was an open bottled by his bedside. There are speculations that an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" depressed Odom over how he was portrayed in the reality show.
